The course could be adapted to include private sector and Third sector partners and suppliers.
Objectives of the course and format
The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to TUPE, including the recent changes which came into force on 31 January 2014, some practical guidance on implementing TUPE and the opportunity to think how your handling of TUPE relates to wider Welsh policy issues.
Delegates will learn about:
1. What the updated regulations say and involve
2. How to negotiate and manage the TUPE process
3. How TUPE relates to changing procurement projects and wider Welsh policy
Training will be a mixture of prepared information on PowerPoint or other acceptable media, case studies, and discussion with exercises/scenarios used throughout the day.
A working folder will be provided which will build up in to a useful working tool and contain relevant reference material, for use as a reference document in the workplace. Participants can send ahead or bring current issues or situations which they would like some help with, for the ‘Over to you’ session.
The programme and exercises can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of individual organisations or audiences.
